FIM -> FC: Rejected lines because "Dimension PA does not belong to any analysis".

Hej Community,

All lines with partner-information are rejected because "Dimension PA does not belong to any analysis". It is a FIM job for importing data from a csv-file into FC. Without the PA-information the data is imported without problems.

The partners do exist in FC. What does FC mean with "does not belong to any analysis"?

Thanks for your help,

Manuel Hohenleitner

Hello Manuel,

Within Financial Consolidation, some dimensions are mandatory (e.g. RU, FL, AC, CU) and some are optional (e.g. PA, any User-defined dimension)

For the optional dimensions, it is not sufficient to simply define the dimensions. You also need to indicate if an account/flow is analyzed by this dimension. You can, for example, decide to have one account to be broken down by project, but for other accounts you may not be interested in such level of detail.

Whether an AC/FL is analyzed by optional dimension(s) (it can be more than 1) is defined in the Category Builder, option "Dimensional analysis"

Below, is an example of the setup - Account1 is analyzed by Partner, Account2 is not.

What the error message means, is that you provide amounts analyzed by PA, but in the category builder you have not indicated that these accounts are analyzed by PA.

Once you add these accounts in the Dimensional Analysis (and validate/distribute the category), FIM will import the amounts as expected.
