Hi Mirza,
Have you seen this link http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-25391
at 13th point its showing out format as xml(MS Excel).
Please check this link too(broadcasting work book excel)
Thanks
1. Run your query in Bex Analyzer
2. Save as workbook on server
3. In the add-ins menu in Excel, select tools, bex broadcaster
4. Create broadcast configuration, ie give name, email type, assign recipients, select a server, etc.
5. Test with Execue button.
6. Finalize with creating a schedule using schedule button.
You can also get an excel-like broadcast by doing the same as above but with just a query instead of a workbook. Use XML as the email type, and when users receive it and open it, the xml data will be interpreted by Excel.

Hi Manson,
I am aware of this process of braodcasting the reports but all this broadcasting process are carried through "SAP Netweaver Portal", but in my case clients are not ready to configure the portal, so we are trying to broadcast the reports in excel format from t-code RSRT, where I am not getting the XML as an output format (screen attached previously).
So, my question is, is it is possible to broadcast reports in Excel format without using SAP Netweaver Portal?
Hi Leo,
Your reply makes more sense to me. We are using "Abap Web" for scheduling and that could be the main reason we don't get the XML ( Excel ) option.
Do you have any SAP document which differentiates the scheduling output between ABAP Web and JAVA Web? The document would help us a lot to decide on installing the JAVA Web.

Hi Mirza,
In order to broadcast the workbooks created in Bex Analyzer, u need to install the Pre-Cal Server on any local machine and all the time it needs to be monitored if it is up and running.
To monitor the pre-cal server whether it is up and running, use the T-code RSPRECADMIN.
After Installing the Pre-Cal server only, u will be able to see the option Excel in the broascasting settings.

Badri.
