Java Web Start 1.4.2 installation

Hi Basis Expert,

In one of our XI Development system when i execute sxmb_ifr it will take us to the Exchange Infrastructure Tools (Integration Builder , Integration Repository) screen.

But on the above i could see it is asking me to install Java Web Start 1.4.2.

From the oracle account i did install Java Web Start 1.4.2 successfully (Windows Offline installation 42.75 MB j2sdk-windows-i586.exe is the file which i downloaded installed ) on my local system.

But again when i executed sxmb_ifr i could see that again it is asking me to install Java Web Start 1.4.2.

Here is my local system details - Windows 7 Enterprise , 32 bit operating system.

Here is our XI Development system details - SAP Version - Netweaver 04 , DB - Oracle 10.2.0.2, OS - AIX.

Please do the needful.

Regards,

Anil Shenoy

    Hi Anil,

Are you sure it keeps requesting to install Java Web Start or that it could not launch Java Web Start ?

If the message says "JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by same
certificate", please take a look at note #1598282 and apply the
mentioned patches then check if this issue could be resolved.

If not, please send me a screenshot of the details.

If Java Web Start has been installed, you will be able to launch the
ESR/Directory on the WTS server. If not, you won't be able to launch it.
You should also be able to view if it is installed in Start -> All
Programs. See the note below for further details on it.
