Hi,
We've just moved our SAP databases onto a new server runnin SQL 2008 server from a SQL 2005 server to a and have upgraded them from 8.82 PL6 to PL11
The client works without any issues on the Server but we get the XML parsing failed error when trying to change the current server to SQL Server 2008 so I can see the list of databases on the new server. If I reinstall the client from the B1_SHR folder on the new server then everything works so does this mean I have to uninstall and reinstall all clients or can I point them to the new server so they can be upgrades ?
Thanks
Carl
Carl,
On the server go to "SAP Business One" >> "Server Tools" >> "Service Manager"
Then go to "License Manager" and click on Settings and then click "Set Security" to enter the password of B1SiteUser and add the new server database.
In client installation if you do not solve only need to delete the file "b1-current-user" which is in the directory: (with SAP Business One closed)
C:\Users\UserXxX\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP\SAP Business One
it still does not work remove the client and reinstall

Hi Carl,
Go to SBO Service Manager--> License Manager--> Settings--> Configure Security--> enter site user credentials--> In the connection settings update your sql details and then try.
Thanks,
Joseph

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Can't see anything on there that actually helps me with this problem.
The machines that I have upgraded by reinstalling the client take a long time to list the databases on the choose company window and the remote desktop server only works for the administrator user. All other users get the XML Parsing Failed error
Thanks
Hi Carl Rutter...
Check does the password for SQL authentication was expired.
Go to SBO Service Manager--> License Manager--> Settings--> Configure Security--> enter site user credentials-->
After updating the new password in configure security in license server it worked fine.
And made sure the sql user is set to password never expires..!
Regards
Kennedy
