Posting for Prepaid Insurance

Hi,

I have a scenario, I have prepaid Insurance paid on 1st of Jan for 12 months. How do I post this transaction in SAP?

Please explain if I have to create

1. Down Payment

2. Invoice with Installment payment for 12 months

3. Clearing Down Payment

4. Payment

Any other process or steps please explain including configuration part.
