Data service: reading twitter feed through BODS

Hi

Is it possible to read the twitter feed though BODS? I do have only few basic idea on these.

Do we need to create an adapter such as JSON in BODS to import the unstructuted data from the twitter and pull in to the DBMS system???

Since the twitter feed is of XML format cant we read the XML file directly in to the BODS and pull the data

Whats the usage of JSON adapter and why do we use this adapter to read the rss feed which is in XML format?
