Financial Catergory or Groups or Views can be linked to WBS Elements?

Hello Experts, We have requirement with business where they need to connect Financial planning such as Financial Views linked to PS WBS Element, Financial category linked toPS WBS Element and Financial groups linked to PS WBS Element. Can we use any BADI or Enhancements here? That will be much appreciated. Regards, Diana

Hi Clara, Thank You. But client do not want to use cProject at this stage. This will be only communication between SAP PPM5.0 (RPM) to SAP PS Project/WBS Elements. Any possible Enahancements where Financial View will update WBS1 element, Financial Category will update WBS2 and Financial Group will update WBS3 within same PS project? Regards, Diana.

Hi,

I am not too sure about your requirement but you could do this by using BADI  - /RPM/FIN_CAP_PLAN. You might need to map your Item with the PS element using custom Z table. This BADI will be called while updating the financial view using background job /RPM/FICO_INT_PLANNING...

You could use this BADI to somehow determine ITEM using custom mapping Z table before updating the Financial view data...

Hello Diana,

I think it is possible, not 100% sure.. Try:

1) map financial view to role function

2) cprojects linked to PS by role( the system will create one WBS for each role)

3) create 1 role for each role function in cprojects

I think in this way you will have linked wBS to financial views...
