Stock posting from Quality to Quality through QA11 against "Reserve Samples"

Hi SAPians,

Here is my case, business receive stocks in quality with an Inspection lot. From QA11 they will then post partial qty to the reserve samples to another Sloc. But as the movement 321 is configured, the stock goes to unrestricted use. But what they want to achieve is to post the stock to the reserve sample sloc in the quality stock only. (Stock Catg Q)

Now as I understand, 323 mvt cannot be used through QA11, can we use a copy of 323, say 963 to achieve the desired outcome? Or, is there any other way to achieve this process.

Pre-condition# they need to do the stock posting thru QA11 only.

Have you checked OMJJ & try to add QA11 for 323 mvt & assign this mvt to reserve in stock posting config.

I have never tried it,You can check once.

If this does not work ,then only option is to process the stock through unrestricted.

Yes it does work when I also used a copy of 323 and added QA11 in allowed tcodes. It does posted stock from QI to QI. But my issue remains.

As per the business requirement, this QI stock lying in the Reserve sample sloc again needs to be transferred to another plant. As we know that the stock is in QI, I cannot do a 301 movement to move to another plant.

Now, what I need to do is to make it an unrestricted stock in the sample sloc and then move it from Unrest to unrest to the other plant.

BUT, how do i make this QI stock to Unrest in the sample sloc?

I cannot do it from MB1B as the "change can only be done through QM"!!

I do not think there is a way to make it unrestricted from QA11, even if the lot is still not UDed.

Can you please check at your end and advice.
