The pricing date on the Sales Order - Is it at the item level or at the header level?
I was thinking becoz there can be multiple line items, each can have a different pricing date?
Am I correct?
Hello Naveen,
Pricing date and billing date is two different components in the sales Order screen (VA01).
The pricinng date VBKD-PRSDT is belongs to the sales Order header only.
The Billing date VBKD-FKDAT is relevant to Header and Item both.
Billing date can be changed for the two for the multiple line items and it will be copied into the Billing documentm and this date also can be changed manually in the billing doc.(VF01).

Hi,
Actually SAP set pricing date on sales order business data ( VBKD-PRSDT). which is related to material, plant & billing date.
if you wants to maintian various prining for various items, then you can create seperate item catagory & condition record, material & business unit (item) wise pricing condition.
otherwise use can modify or change sales order screen by userexit.

Hi Naveen,
Pricing Date can be mainatined at both Header and Item level.
You can have different pricing date at header and at each item.
If you want change this programatically at item level..
use user exit -
MV45AFZZ- userexit_move_field_to_vbkd
Thanks,
Siva.

Naveen,
You can change item level pricing date, which impact pricing for that line item.
Normally it is not suggested to keep different pricing date for different sales order line item untill there is any specific business requirement. Changing pricing date at Item level may create issue to control business process.

Hi,
Pricing date will be available both at header and Item
Header level, pricing date will be determined from VOV8 and the same will be applicable to all line item in the sales order
However you can change the pricing date manually at the line item, Based on the pricing date at the line item, the condition record will be determine the value for that particular line item
Pricing date can also be considered as one of the factor to determine the Billing date and Billing Due list

santosh

Hi Naveen,
The pricing date comes from document type. Go to V0V8 and select your document type - Prop.f.pricing date.
