BCV related query for SAP MDG Change Request Details

Hi,

I have a requirement wherein I need to show the details of the Change Requests (in graphical,pie chart form) as a dashboard metrics to the users.

For eg. How many CRs are under my name, how many I have rejected or I have approved etc in the below area.

How to do that?

Hi,

in MDG 6.1 the charts on the home screen are provided by BCV. Therefore some Business Functions and some BC Sets have to be activated.

To maintain the BCV queries you can use the SAP role "SAP_BCV_ADMIN2". -> BCV Configuration Center

After that it should look like this:

Thanks Michael,  I have already activated the business functions  /BCV/MAIN and /BCV/MAIN1.

Also the BC set MDGAF_BCV is activated.

Could you please guide me with the detailed steps on how to achieve this. Whatever screenshot you have given is exactly what I want.

Hi,

this is out-of-the-box functionality. There are no other settings for this.

I could imagine that there are missing authorizations.

Otherwise I would raise an OSS message.

Hi,

I do have access to SAP_MDGS_MENU authorization and below is the screenshot for the BCV related access that I have.

Do you think I still need to have the SAP_BCV_ADMIN2 role authorization as you mentioned?

Also before raising an OSS message which I also think won't be needed as I am in synch with you that I have missing authorizations. Hence it would be great if you can tell me apart from SAP_BCV_ADMIN2 role if I need anything else? Also in SAP_BCV_ADMIN2 if there are specific set of context ids I need access or not

We had the same problem :  my suggestion is :

Check the activation in SFW5 sometimes the IGS RFC destination, IGS_RFC_DEST may not have been configured properly.  Take the help of your Basis team to check this out.
