VV32 Billing output determination

Former Member

Two output types are available in the system:

ZRD0

ZRD1

The first has been available for some time and has been working correctly to default as generate output when document is created.

New requirement for new form was configured for ZRD1. The output determination was configured for the new output and VV32 updated by BillTo so it will geneate ZRD1. When the document is saved, it continues to print out the ZRD0. What configuration is missing so that it will print the ZRD1?

Thank you,

Bela

Did you remove the records for ZRD0 in VV32 and try? Also in VF02, go to menu Goto -> Header -> output. Here click on i (determine analysis) button and then in next screen click on the new output type. The system will display on why the output was not picked.

I can not remove the ZRD0 record in VV32 because it is the default for all billing documents. It is by billing type only.

The ZRD1 is the exception by bill to and billing type combination.

I tried the determine analysis and it indicated no analysis log exists.

You mentioned that ZRD0 got printed, so the analysis log should show both the output types and by clicking on the new output type, it should display the reason on the right hand side. Did you see both the output types in the analysis button?

Your response has pointed me in a good direction, but am needing additional help.

The determination analysis shows the output procedure Z100000 which is correct.

It finds the ZRD1 and message is

ZRD1

10 - A valid output condition has been found for the application object.

20 No valid output conditions found for the application object.

But then it also shows the following:

ZRD0

10 No valid output conditions found for the application object.

20 - A valid output condition has been found for the application object.

How can this work so it doesn't drop down to the ZRD0? Can it be exclusive?

The vv32 entries are

ZRD0 - ZF2 Print

ZRD1 - 1003500 ZF2 Print

The reason it points out as below;

ZRD0

10 No valid output conditions found for the application object.

20 - A valid output condition has been found for the application object.

It looks at step 20 level, it could find the condition records. So VV32 record maintained must be OK. Can you check the analysis again by clicking on the step 20? Can you paste the right side details here?

Also check the output determination procedure/output condition/access sequence configuration to see any requirements is added or not.

It does find that VV32 is updated for both ZRD0 and ZRD1.

ZRD0 is the default for all other records.

ZRD1 is also updated with the billto/billtype document to default.

ZRD0 step 20 : A valid output condition has been found for the application object.

ZRD1 step 10: A valid output condition has been found for the application object.

The output determination procedure/output conditions/access sequence is configured. I think it is not correct but I don't know how to correct it. How can it be possible to output only one document using the same output procedure? Can it be exclusive?

I found in the forums "How to make an Output Type exclusive" which looks like it will answer the question. it requires user exit with VOFM.

Make sure that you have entered the Output Device (i.e. Printer) details in Communications tab of the condition record for output type ZRD1 .
