Errors on 0FI_AP_50 during extraction in RSA3

I have activated the data source 0FI_AP_50 in RSA5. I checked in RSA6 and it is in active state.

When I am checking the data source in RSA3, I am getting an error as Reporting Financial not switched on : Message no. SREP_FIN001.

I found the way on how to switch on this by reading in the forums. We are using old GL in our organization. My questions are

1. Even if I switch on the indicator in question (i.e.FIN_REP_SIMPL_1), is this data source works for us? I am asking this question because we are using old GL.

2. If the answer is no for the above question, what are my options?

Hi,

Even if you are using an old GL, it should work so please switch on the "Reporting Financials" through transaction SFW5 and retest it (technical name: FIN_REP_SIMPL_1).

Thanks for the response. We have decided use generic data source due to business reasons. I didn't get a chance to activate the Reporting Financials
