Problem Creating Logon in MiniSAP 4.6D

Hai,

I have installed MiniSAP 4.6D on Windows 2003 that i have got from ABAP objects book.

Installation went fine but when i am creating new Logon with the following options

Description : MBS

Application Server: HOSTNAME (My computer name or IP)

SAP Router String :

SAP System : R/3

System Number : 00

i am not able to get the SAP GUI.

I am getting error "<b>Work Process W0 died =>ThSighandler:</b>"

and "<b>work process restarted, system terminated, try reconnect ? </b>"

can someone help me how to resolve this issue. i have tried to install many times. but its the same error.

Hi Bhavani,

Can you please check the log files into the directory

c:\usr\sap\<sid>\DVEMSG00\work

And,which SAP-GUI version you are using?

Hai Vivek,

i couldnt find the directory you have mentioned. but i have log files in the C:\<SID> directory and i have checked them and this is error part of the work process W0 (dev_w0).

can you please tell me how to solve this.

Hi Bhavani,

yes in MiniSAP directory should be C:\MBS or C:\SAPMNT

anyways it looks like some security problem.

But can you please search file "sapsecu.dll" and copy into that directory.

i tried to search for the file sapsecu.dll but i couldnt find it. any idea what i can do?

Hi Bhavani,

I think you can find that file in MiniSAP cd's.

Otherwise you have to un-install and re-install MiniSAP once again with minimize the Win-2003 Server security settings.

Thanks for the suggestion. i have tried to find the sapsecu.dll but it is not available in any directory. i have tried even in the installation CD's but none available. i have reinstalled but no use.

I am totally clueless from the past 1 week.

Hi Bhavani,

It seems like a problem with your SAP-GUI just remove and re-install it once again or try with connecting some other's machine.

thank you. i have tried many times installing the SAP GUI and SAP MBS. but no good. and i dont have other machine to connect to. its a standalone system

any other way to solve this.
