Unplanned Depreciation

Dear Expert,

                      I am doing unplanned depreciation with 640 (Unplanned depreciation on prior year acquisition) . i have done completed 12000 assets but in some assets. i have a problem. Please find out the enclosed attachement of sceen shot.

                             When i was post unplanned depreciation. depreciation is not posting. amount is showing in negative.please see the attached file.

Dear Sarvottam,

The negative value means that you have already posted more than the planned depreciation. Now when you try to post unplanned depreciation the system reverses already posted depreciation that is why the values are in negative.

The planned values are calculated based on your depreciation key.

However sometimes it is possible that negative values appear even though it should not. To check this recalculate the asset values in AS02 at the top you get RECALCULATE VALUES option. Also check AFAR.
