Hi Experts,

When I click on Save in webui , in Loyalty Membership Creation screen, I get an error saying : Membership Not Bound . I have maintained the Number Range for Loyalty Membership : LOY_MSH_ID.

I have also maintained the Status Profile for LOYMSH object. Is there anything else I am missing?

I have also attached the Number Range from Config and also Screen shot of error in WebUI.

Could experts pls help.

Regards,

Krish

Hi Mangesh,

Thanks for quick response.

I created aftresh a new Loyalty Program as suggested by you. I also Released It as required by Loy Config.  In WebUi I select the Loy program from the list while creating Membership , but still I get the same Membership Not Bound Error.

Please let me know if there is anything to be done!

Will award points on successful resolution.

Hi Krish,

You will have to maintain the following number ranges for membership (MSH) objects:

1. LOY_CRD_ID

2. LOY_MSH_ID

3. LOY_PTACCT

4. LOY_MA_ID

Let me know if the issue still persists.

Hi Mangesh,

Please recall my first post when I raised the query, I have already maintained all the Number Ranges for the objects you have listed. Do I need to maintain the Status Profile for these apart from the System Status profile? If yes, how to maintain the same for each of these objects.

Hi Krish,

I encountered exactly same error when creating a membership. Number ranges for those objects were setup. Did you manage to solve this ? If you did, will you be kind enough to share how to ?

Hi Ben,

One possible solution to this is :

You need to activate the Business Function : CRM_LOY_PROD , if not already activated.

Use T Code SFW5 for this.

This should add the columns - Int and Ext in the Number Range Config screen ( for Loyalty Number Range Objects). These columns by default are nor appearing in my server.

I thank Mona : http://scn.sap.com/thread/3250280 who has suggested this possible solution, the thread which I visited through google search.

In my server this Function is not appearing in the list of Business Functions. I am trying to figure out how the Business Function can first be added to the list and then activate it.

@Mona - if you have a solution this part - adding the Business Function - please share the same.

Hi Krish,

Business Function CRM_LOY_PROD is activated since we upgraded to CRM 7 EHP2, and the int / ext field are there. So I doubt that could possibly the cause.

I attached a screenshot for SFW5:

Do Let me know if the activation of CRM_LOY_PROD really solved your issue.

Hi Krish,

Try the following:

for each of these number range object:

LOY_MA_ID

LOY_MSH_ID

LOY_CRD_ID

LOY_PTACCT

ONLY create 1 number range for EACH object and USE number range id 01.

Then, go to trx SM56  (number range buffer), goto -> Number range buffer -> Reset to reset previous buffering. Then try again.

Good Luck!

Hi Ben,

Thanks for precise and exceedingly brilliant resolution.

I followed exactly the same steps you suggested and the problem is resolved. I am now able to Assign Members to Loyalty Program in webui and when I save, the Membership No, Point Act ID and Card ID all are getting assigned from the Number Range Objects defined in GUI.

In fact, I was contemplating the activation of Business Function CRM_LOY_PROD ( we have our server which is not yet upgraded to EHP1), when I saw the reply from you.

This has solved the issue.

The only concern I have now is do I need to go for the upgrade. As of now the number range is working perfectly fine. Though I have sounded out my Manager on possible resolution by upgrading, for which I have got approval, I am just thinking for the time being I will continue with the current patch level.

Do you envisage any other possible future issues if the upgrade is not done?

I thank you very much for the solution to the issue.

Feel like giving you a million points for the same.

Shall keep in regular touch.

Thanks again.

Hi Krish,

Happy that your issue is now resolved.

Regarding your concern for the upgrade, I would recommend you to go ahead with the upgrade. I read an article (which I forgotten where and when), that Loyalty Management CRM 7.0 EHP2 is much straight forward. Best is to upgrade to EHP1 then EHP2, but in between please do simple and small test to make sure things are not broken. (always consult with your Basis team for best advice and approach )

FYI, I am currently facing an error when setting up reward rules (error

CX_FDT_INPUT - Invalid application ID 47A2AD2EF70D37D8E10000000A424BBB), it got something to do with BRFPlus class, I believe. Will try to log an OSS note. If I don't have the luck then I may raise the problem to this forum hopefully you can help as well.

Cheers,
