dear members,
i'm facing issue with the mail, when order confirmation is saved an email (with medium 5) is sent automatically to the customer.
requirement: the automatic mail is sent to the customer holding *.pdf file as an attachment.
issue: the automatic mail is sent to the customer in *.eml file which has an *.pdf file with in it.
now the user dont want to receive mail with *.eml file, instead they want *.pdf file as an attachment to the mail.
can any one help me out to resolve such issue...
- no recent changes done to the program.

I know, this is a late answer, but maybe it helps someone...
Is your mail going through an MS Exchange server?
If yes, this may be the issue.
If your mail only contains an attachment without a text in the mail body, the exchange tends to change the format of the attachment.

We had a similar issue, which we solved by inserting a text in the mail body.
