ESR and ID object naming convention Best practise

Hi Experts ,

Need your help

I have 50 interfaces . 10 - Finance, 10- Procurement , 20- HR , 10 - Material

Can you please let me know how we should create the SWCV names?

Is it advisable to create Folders in ESR and ID?

Should i create 3  tier architecture  in ESR

i.e

SWCV_FIN_ Sender

SWCV_FIN_ Central

SWCV_FIN_Receiver

SWCV_PROC_ Sender

SWCV_PROC_ Central

SWCV_PROC_Receiver

Created sender DT,MT etc in Sender SWCV , create receiver DT,MT etc in receiver SWCV and  Message mappnig , Operation mapping etc in Central SWCV

or

SWCV_FIN

SWCV_PROC

create all obects of a finance interface in FIN SWCV

Please suggest which is better approach and recomonded one  in PI 7.3?

    Thanks Bhaskar,hareesh,Raja,

I have gone through the documents and it mostly tells how to name the objects.

But none speak about the architecture. Also these are very old documents ( published in 2009)

Do you have any doc  specific to PI 7.3?

Wat di you guys have followed in your project?

    • IMHO, you might have to customize little bit with respect to client. You may not able to use exactly as that of document standard. If  possible, you can. The above document provides you some direction to follow the standards.  You might want to consider few things while deciding the naming components  like for naming service interface... (mode async/sync, direction outbound/inbound,  plus match with namespace etc). This might be very helpful during debug and maintenance. Also you can use folders for configuration objects that might be helpful to find objects that belong to the same interface. Hope that helps.

    Hi Sam,

You can maintain the below document for Naming rule as a Reference. But again it variess from Client to Client, Architects usually define this.
