Cant start the DAA on the portal

Fellow Experts,

I have a problem with starting DAA (on AIX) on the managed system (Portal) and I have tried everything to fix but with no luck. Its obvious from the logs that its a user/pass issue, but I have tested and made sure the passwords are correct on solution manager. When i start DAA status goes green then after a couple of seconds it gets yellow and user SLDAPIUSER in solman gets locked. I have checked and no other users gets locked.

I have attached the full log.

I have registered it using the commands below and restarted the agent but still getting the same problem

smdsetup.sh managingconf hostname:"sapms://Solman_FQDN" port:"8101" user:"SMD_ADMIN" pwd:"*******"

smdsetup.sh secstoresld user:”SLDAPIUSER” pwd:”*****”

I have ran out of options. Is a re-installation the only solution?

thanks Roman,

I have already gone through all the notes above. I think the problem is due to when the portal was installed the DAA was registered to the PI SLD (Solman SLD is not central). Although I'm trying to manually register directly in solution manager now, its not overwriting the initial setup.

I come to the conclusion that a re-installation is the only option, however this time I installed it using the standalone DAA DVD and used the Direct Solution Manager Registration with P4 Connection via SCS message server. After the installation it started without any problem.

Thank you all for your input.

Regards

Jimmy

Hi,

Is really your FQDN of solman server is  SOLMAN_FQDN? I see this entry in log;

[SMDAgent.locateSLDServer] SLD configuration used: http://SOLMAN_FQDN:50000 user: SLDAPIUSER

What is the value of FQDN parameter or icm/host_name_full ?

Regards,

Vivek

Vivek Hi again

I made changes in the log file as i didnt want to make it visible to everyone.

The FQDN is correct and all the servername are correct.

The user/pass is the issue.

Cheers

Hi,

Ok , I get it now

Try to change the SLDAPIUSER passwd in solman. Go to Txn SLDAPICUST, select the connection, delete the password and re enter the password. After this run the smdsetup for registration again.

this is worth the try.

Vivek
