Hello Team,

I am upgrading SCP EHP4 system to EHP6 system.
Currently the SUM tool is at phase execution.

At phase STARTSAP_NBAS, it threw error:

Got the error message from dev_w0
*** ERROR => R/3 release 731 is not supported with this kernel (701) [thxxsick.c   237]
A  *** ERROR => R/3 release 731 is not supported with this kernel (701) [sapicc.c     1093]
M  *** ERROR => R/3 release 731 is not supported with this kernel (701) [thxxsick.c   237]

Kernel was not upgraded by tool to 720.
I manually upgraded kernel to 720.

The files used:
SAPEXE_402-20005192.SAR
SAPEXEDB_402-20005193.SAR
&
disp+work,lib files latest from marketplace.

After that the upgrade moved to other phase and again got error at phase: XPRAS_AIMMRG

Error messge in SAPuP.eco WAs:

RROR:       The following call returned with exit code 5:
ERROR:         /usr/sap/SCP/DVEBMGS00/exe/sapevt SAP_TRIGGER_RDDIMPDP -t name=SCP nr=00 pf=/usr/sap/SCP/SYS/profile/DEFAULT.PFL
ERROR:       Background jobs cannot be started.
ERROR:       Please check trace file dev_evt

and DEV_W09 trace files are given below:

It is not able to load kernel file dboraslib.o.
There is no permission issue.

Replaced kernel files again and tried but it did not work.

Please check and let me know what is the issue.

PLEASE check file dev_evt.

Hello

Update the Oracle Instant Client to 11.2.0.3.0 and then retry.

Also check the permissions of the instant client directory.

Hi,

I have upgraded Oracle Instant Client to 11.2.0.3.0 but still the issue persists.

Permission is fine too.

Hi Arindam,

Have you run the saproot.sh and oraroot.sh script after kernel upgarde.

Also check whether the file dboraslib.o exists on /usr/sap/SCP/SYS/exe/run/.

Hi,

I had executed ./saproot.sh & the permission of file dboraslib.o is proper in  run dir.

Can it be due to any issue with oracle client?

Oracle version is 11.2

i tried with 720 EXT kernel also.Same issue is coming

Hi,

Please check whether /usr/sap/SCP/SYS/exe/run/dboraslib.o is available.

If not, try to download the lib_dbsl*.SAR file from the service market place and try again.

I would suggest you to make sure the kernel you are using is the correct one.

Thanks and Regards,

Hi Arindam,

Whta is os and database of your SAP system ?

If it unix and oracle use the kernel patch 401.
