Printing Label and Slip during Goods Receipt from Vendor

The requirement is to print AUTOMATICALLY the slip and labels during good receipt.

The slip has to be printed through a LASER printer and the label has to be printed through a label printer (ZEBRA).

Slip prints OK, but I created output type ZEPT for label with following characteristics:

  • Access sequence: 0001 (Tr.Type/Print Vers./Ind./Label)
  • Dispatch time: 4 (Send immediately)
  • Transmission medium: 1 (Print output)
  • Print param.: 7 (Plant/ storage location)

I maintained condition record (transaction MN21) and printer determination by plant/storage location. I set ZEBRA printer as output device.

The problem is the label prints through LASER printer instead of ZEBRA!!!!!!

I tried with print parameter U (User) and maintained the output device in printer determination by Output type/User, but it does not work. Label is still printing through LASER printer!!!!!!

The output device assigned to the user (transaction SU01) is LP01 printer (LP01 is PC default printer = LASER printer).

What do you suggest?

I would suggest to go though this wiki very conscientiously:

especially the section: Symptom 2: Wrong printer
