Hi everyone,
We have portal(EP6 SP9) on HP-UX 11(i.e UNIX machine) and want to integrate the windows file server with portal.
We followed the same steps as stated on help.sap.com.
Has anybody integrated the windows file server with portal on UNIX?
If yes kindly help us out as its urgent
Hi Amol, hi Alexander,
could you please provide the message from the component monitor (see System Administration > Monitoring >> Knowledge Management > Component Monitor >> Repository Managers)
BTW: If you click on the repository manager in the component monitor itself, you will see it's subcomponents only - so please have a look on the list of repository managers.
Thanks and best regards,
Paul

Please be a bit more specific about what the problem actually is...
What's the status of the repository in the Component Runtime Monitor?
Best regards, Julian

Hi,
In Component Monitor I'm able to see "Services","resource event broker","Filters" as running, but no "mountinfo".I guess there is NO mountinfo running for integrating file server with portal on UNIX (I have read this from help.sap.com).
I followed the following steps:
1)Created the network path with checked "use jcifs" check box.
2)Created "file system repository" with all necessary data.
Am i missing any step?
With regards,
Amol.
hi all,
I have come across this statement on help.sap.com on the link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ed/b334ea02a2704388d1d2fc3e4298ad/frameset.htm
"If you are using the Microsoft Active Directory Service you can only integrate documents into a WINDOWS portal. The combination of Microsoft Active Directory Service and a UNIX portal is not supported."
We have configured Microsoft ADS with our portal i.e. our users get authenticated against LDAP.
Does that imply that we cannot connect to a windows file server in this
scenario.
Kindly clarify this statement as its very urgent.
With regards,
Amol

It should be there. Is the component really listed as started???

No, that seems correct.
So what happens when you try to access the repository?
Best regards, Julian
Hi,
In component monitor against that respective file server name i'm getting the status as "startup failed" with red mark, but under the file server's name i can see the above mentioned services running with green mark.
Also i removed the connection with LDAP(MS-ADS) and tried to integrate the file server, but still i'm not able to integrate it.
Any suggestions........
With regards,
Amol
