Hi Dear Expert,

I am SAP BASIS Guy need some suggestion on the Topic

I want to do kernel Upgration in  SAP

Please give me the Pre and Post Steps details.

Component info are-

DB2  - Released Version 9.1

AIX   -  Released Version 6.1

SAP  -  ECC6.0

Hi Gaurav,

download database dependent and os dependent kernel files from the service market place.

extract using sapcar

backup the existing kernel directory ------ very important

replace with the new extracted files and try to start sap and check the kernel level.

After kernel upgrade, post installation steps would be checking failure of standard background jobs, dumps and transport errors.
