Multiple Line Charts - Date as x-axis

I'm using XI3.1 SP 5

If I use the following data as an example and plot it as a multiple line chart with Date on the x axis and Result on the y- axis is it possible to get 2 continuous lines drawn for each of my companies? At the moment I get a join between 01 Jan and 2 Jan for Company A and the other 3 dates are just single points.

Date Company Result 01 Jan 2013 Company A 100 02 Jan 2013 Company A 90 03 Jan 2013 Company B 50 04 Jan 2013 Company A 95 05 Jan 2013 Company B 45
