Compress and Optimize not removing zeros

Hi All,

Hope someone can help ...

We are attempting to eliminate zeros out of our infocube (in order to be able to delete master data) and nothing is working.

Version: BPC 10 NW (CPMBPC 801 0002)

We have done the following: (after searching through the forum)

1.) In RSA1, set the Manage -> Collapse option "with zero elimination" to ticked

2.) In RSPC, set /CPMB/LIGHT_OPTIMIZE -> Collapse "Switch on Zero Elimination" to ticked

3.) repeated 2.) for /CPMB/FULL_OPTIMIZE (-> Full compress and -> Light optimize compress) and /CPMB/Collapse

In RSA1 InfoProvider -> <Model> -> Manage -> Contents -> InfoCube Content, for each tuple I have 3 records:

+value

-value

0

If I go into the -> Fact Table data browser, I see the +value and the -value, but no 0 value.

On adding the LITE_OPTIMIZE & FULL_OPTIMIZE process chains as data packages and running them from data manager, I notice that the LITe one succeeds with no detail, the FULL one finished with a Warning, saying that "Optimization not required at this time"

Lastly, in RSA1, when checking the collapse log, the Status is always "Collapse finished successfully", with the message "Compression not necessary; no requests found for compressing"

... I'm really missing something here, help!

Regards,

Peter

    Hi Peter,

    I didnt understand your concern.

Both the optimizations will aggregate the data of the similar records. With the configuration, you have done, it will eliminate the 0 records also.

    Is this not happening?
