Application Client failed with the message "could not get runtime model"

Hello Experts,

I am struggling with creating a new project for Application client that calls a EJB module. I have just followed the tutorial that guides me how to create an Application client. However, I am getting the error "com.sap.engine.services.appclient.client.AppClientException: "Could not get runtime model for application with name:sap.com/CaluculatorServiceEAR".

Buildfile: D:\Download\nwds\eclipse\workspace2x\CalculatorServiceClient\appclient_starter.xml

execute:

[java] Exception in thread "main" com.sap.engine.services.appclient.client.AppClientException: Could not get runtime model for application with name: com.sap/CalculatorServiceEAR

     [java]           at com.sap.engine.services.appclient.client.Launcher.main(Launcher.java:152)

     [java] Java Result: 1

BUILD SUCCESSFUL

Total time: 1 second

I highly appreciate it if you point the error I am getting.

P.S I have read through http://scn.sap.com/thread/1184558

Did you notice that your error message talks about "Caluculator", while your Object seems to be named "Calculator" ?

    • Masaya,

from the data you give I cannot see what you are trying to achieve. Are you just trying to run a sample? (AS there is a sample with that name) Or did you change a sample?

The only thing I could see was that the name of the object is different in the picture and the error message. If you are a programmer you should be able to check if there are any spelling errors in your program. If your are just starting to use this stuff, this will become a nightmare for you.
