Hi,
While using common id for BW login, is there a way that which user has locked the login id? Or is there a way to track from which IP the login has locked?
with Regards,
Antony Jerald.
Hi Anthony,
Finding the IP(Internet Protocol) Address of a person who locked the system is hard, but if you are heaven bent on tracing it out then you can find the exact time and date when the user got locked and take up the investigation from there. Go to transaction SUIM --> Under User Information System expand the node User -> And choose with Unsuccessfull Logons. This will give the exact number of incorrect logins tried and the status of the lock. Please look for the below image:
Its human to err.. Have mercy on the one who locked it
Cheers....

If users get locked, from SU01 you can unlock them.
Use SU10 to mass lock/unlock the users.
Use address data or authorisation data to get a list of users - select the ones you want and
click transfer.
Once this is done click on lock or unlock.
You can also use transaction code EWZ5 to mass lock/unlock the users.
or If you don't want to specify the time
Execute program EWULKUSR in SE38.

Hi Antony,
As per the company policy, Id and passwords not sharable.as per the security concerns in quality and prod, multiple logins are not allowed. if allowed, you will get pop screen like, this id already logged in, you want stop that log in or continue without stopping the others log in.
Log in id will be locked normally due to multiple log attempts or due wrong password entry. id will locked.
in SAP if any another use opens the same screen like , info pack or dtp or cube displays creen, in that case also you face lock issue. at that time also you will get pop messages like its locked by user id.
With help basis team you will know required details.
Thanks

If any one logged in and at the same time if you are trying login then you come to know in above login pad who is using this id and if you also wanted to use u can use "continue with without ending other person session". If you want more in detailed way u can check with Basis team. Regards Sree
