Partrner Function flow (Order => Delivery => Billing)

How do different partner functions (SH, PY, BP Contact person etc.) flow down from Sales Doc. => Delivery Doc => Billing doc.

• is it controlled through copy control settings?

What if you want to introduce new partner function in Delivery doc. (for example Logistics partner). Do you create new Partner determination procedure (that includes this Logistics partner function) and assign it to delivery document type? what happens to those partner functions copied form sales order, are they over-ridden?

Thanks for any clarification on this concept.

Hi

It could be controlled by copy rules (see for instance VOFM subroutine 003 or include FV50C003).

In the other hand, you can control it with customizing (tcode VOPA) as Warren told you.

Finally, you can modify it with enhancements, see for instance SAP Note 415716 - User exits in delivery processing

Hello Vibhor,

If the New Partner Function that you want to add in Delivery Doucment is mentioned in Customer Master Record (e.g. Ship-to-Party) or in Sales order then you have to maintain necesary setting in Partner Determination for Delivery Header & the partner code will be pulled in Delivery document. 

Alternatively, users can enter the required Partner Function manually in Delivery document. As far as Partner Determination settings are concerned, please search in forum or in google.

Check out transaction VOPA.  It also can be controlled in copy control and in user exit programs like MV45AFZZ (my client dynamically adds a salesperson for Customer/Brand).
