TDMS: Initialization for POS Handling

Hi TDMS Gurus,

Our SAP TDMS landscape consists of a Control+Central system, a Sender System (ECC) and a Receiver system (ECC). We have successfully completed two technical runs.  The first used the RFC data transfer mode.  The second used the Data Transfer through Files mode. 

For the RFC run, we noticed that "Initialization for POS Handling" occured whereas in the Data Transfer through Files run, this step was shown as skipped (i.e. it did not occur).  We checked the documentation, notes and SCN but were unable to find anything about it.  Does anyone know why this was skipped over?

Philip,

POS Initialization activity runs in the receiver system and only if you run retail (EA-RETAIL). BTW if you click in the activity detail you can see the documentation.
