Split valuation-valuation category grayed out in material master

2664 Views

Hello SAP Experts,

I have recently created a new plant by copying the default SAP plant.

Split valuation is activated in SPRO already as other plants are using it.

From transaction code OMWC, I clicked on "local definitions" and after selecting my new plant, I clicked on the button “Cats-> OU”. There I can see that one valuation category Z is active there.

On selecting that val. Category Z and clicking on local types, there is a list of valuation types also.

However, when I try to create a new material in the new plant, then in the accounting view, I find that the field “val. Category” is grayed out. I cannot maintain a valuation category and therefore not valuation type specific MMR views.

I even extended a material existing in another plant to my new plant and there also the same problem. The valuation category is grayed out.

Can someone help me to overcome this problem? Does a plant have to be activated separately for split valuation or something?

Regards
