Input values needed blank after refresh ??

Hello everyone,

I have selection criteria for my query and when I input the values in the variable selection it displays the query results but when I refresh the query again, the same values get displayed again but can I get blank fields again so that I can input fresh values in it. I did select 'can be changed in query navigation' but still it shows the values after refresh.

How can I avoid this, I did work with this before but not able to recollect.

Any help would be well rewarded.

Thanks,

    Hi!

i think this values are personalized. clcik change button from Bex and select "change variable values". this takes you to the variable screen. here click the personalization button or select remove personalization.

    this will solve your problem

    Hi Nikki,

Are you refering to the fact that the variables are pre filled with the last values you used, when you do a refresh, and would like them to be blank? I guess this is to do with the values being stored in the cache...

Or does the variable not appear in the variable screen when you refresh?

Nikki, did you ever find an answer to this problem? I am facing the same issue.

The only solution I have found is to reset the server connection. Not very elegant, and the user loses ability to navigate (until refreshing) any other queries they might have open.

So I am hoping that you found a better answer and can share it.

    Hi Nikki,

don't know it this works, but using customer exit variables might be a solution.

You could fill these variables with a [blank] in i_step=1 (i_step = 1 being the step which is invoked, before the input window pops up).

    Hope this helps,

    Yogen
