Reset average cost value on item

SBO Version: 8.82 PL11

We have items in SAP which are using average costs, but occasionally these items get added to the BOM of an item by accident and the value increases, thus increasing the average cost of the item.

Is there any way to reset the last purchase price and last calculated price on an item – to pull the latest BOM cost instead?

Maybe change the valuation method for that item and change it back might work?
