SAP B1 issue

We found that windows Standard edition operating system used in  SAP B1 server had a memory limitation of 4GB, but RAM has been upgraded recently to 24 GB. still system is unable to  utilize RAM due to the limitation. Because of which SAP B1 is hanging due to shortage of RAM when ever any report is executed. Could you suggest which OS (operating system) we need to upgrade  to fix the performance issue

Hi Sujan Ch....

Just check your Windows Standard edition operating system is 32bit or 64bit?

if your is 32bit then your system will detect only 3GB RAM only and if your 64bit then system will detect 24GB of RAM.

I believe that your system is 32bit Operating System.

and I think you should go for WINDOWS Server 2008 R2 Standard 64bit. this is a right server for SAP Business One.

check your server configuration first most probably the system RAM supported by the system other wise Hangings will occur frequently.

Which Server are using IBM Or Some other server.

whatever the server May be Install OS --windows server 2008 R2  and also Use Sql also Sql server Standard Edition 2008 .And by using this System Utilizes RAM of 12 to 14 GB of RAM for 24 GB of RAM .

Now using this system performance will be 80% better than previous performance.

we are using  INtel (R) Xeon (R) CPU E 5405  which is of 2.00 GHZ

Ram is 24 .GB  and OS is Windows standard 2007 (32 Bit)

found this os got limit of using 4 GB only

whic one will be the best from the  below and could you please let me know how Sql server Standard Edition 2008 will help out .

WINDOWS 2008 R2 standard edition or Windows  Enterprise  Edition.

Problem is in SAP B1 when we execute sap FI Crystal reports ...this is blocking all users and even after 1 hr, the report is still in process ....we have 15 users and out of whic only  max of 4 users will be logging in to sap at given any  point of time  and also they will be posting max fo 600 sales data in 8 hrs working time.
