/SAPSLL/CTSNUM Vs. /SAPSLL/CTSGEN

Hi GTS fellows,

could anyone tell me how those two tables are connected with each other?

  • /SAPSLL/CTSNUM
  • /SAPSLL/CTSGEN

Background:

I upload all the comodity codes via XML file in the system.

Those codes will be stored in table /SAPSLL/CTSNUM.

The codes which are available for product classification and are being displayed via transaction /SAPSLL/LLNS_001 are stored in table /SAPSLL/CTSGEN (as I found out via debugging).

Is there some kind of filter? Why are much less data sets stored in the CTSGEN table? What kind of logic decides which data sets from the whole .XML file will be stored in table /SAPSLL/CTSGEN?

Best Regards

Gregor

Hi Gregor,

CTSNUM holds the codes.  CTSGEN holds the "folders" that you see in the hierarchy.  Does that make sense?

Hi Dave,

yep that does make sense.

To be honest I already figured it out in the meantime but good to read your explanation as a verification of my understanding.

Thanks!

Best Regards

Gregor
