Hello,

does anybody has experience with the Web Dynpro for Java Client.

I ran the Installation successfully. When trying to start a message box comes up:

"In order to open a connection to a SAP server, please configure the web page correctly"

Does anybody know, what to do here??

Thanks in advance,

Andreas

Maybe I'm missing something here.... but do you have a particular reason for wanting to use the WebDynpro for Java Client? Why don't you just use your web browser?

Hi Walter,

I have to do some reserach for an internal project. Therefore I have to check the WDP for Java Client. Installation, Use, a.s.o

So I´m searching for documentaiton, config guides, a.s.o

Just for fun I downloaded the client from the link supplied, installed it and ran it. My Web Dynpro application runs perfectly in it. Didn't need to do any special configuration.

Hi Andreas,

First up all there is no webdynpro for Java client.Even Webdynpro is an application client for SAP backend through which you can connect to R/3 backend or other Databases.

Did you install Netweaver Studio and trying to open connection with R/3 backend.

Jus give us an update so it will be easy for answering.

Sorry, this is plain wrong.

The Web Dynpro Client for Java is just another Web Dynpro client (like the HTML Client for Java, the Mobile Client etc.)

You can download this client at

https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/downloads.sdn?page=webdynproclient_download.htm

It is (currently) integrated into the SAP GUI for Java and it renders Web Dynpro applications using the Swing framework.

Andreas: Please post your question also in the SAP GUI forum, there you might get a solution for your problem.

I didn't get wha you meant by WebDynpro for Java Client.

Are you talking about the Netweaver Developer Studio installation and using the WebDynpro perspective provided along with it?
