Can I activate document split only to new company codes?

Hi,

We are on ECC 6, EHP5 and the new GL is active.

We already have 4 live company codes. And now we are, setting up 1 more but this time, we want to activate DOCUMENT SPLITTING only for this new company code (because we are implementing Bus. Area in it).

May I know if there is a risk if i activate doc. split and deactivate it for 4 others? Can you refer me to any notes confirming that it is ok to activate doc split only for one company codes?

We have no plans to migrate live companies to doc. split concept.
