Looking for a KM Layout that ignores folders hierarchy

I have a KM navigation iView that points to a KM folder (News folder in my case).

Inside this folder I have two folders A, B each containing a couple of news items.

Is there a pre defined Layout that can be used to "flatten" the hierarchy of folders inside the root one?

For example, instead of the user seeing FolderA and FolderB then the news in each folder I'd like the user to see the news in both folders as the default view, so removing the folders from the view leaving just their content.

And to those of you who suggest simply creating everything under News without folders I need them in order to apply permissions for news on a folder level rather than per item level.
