How to search/create Specifications of different category other than Substance

I have been trying to search or create specifications(CG02) of different category other than Substance, but unsuccessful so far. Your help will be appreciated.

You can use CG02BD, you can change the specification category making double-click in the specification categories in the left panel.

I would like to extend, In addition to JCD's nice explanation.

In your query you have mentioned the transaction CG02, which seems you are only dealing with the substances. not touching even Dangerous goods.

CG02BD is the transaction master transactoin, which covers Dangerous goods, waste coad, agent, etc.,

you can use any of the transactions like CG02, CGCL2, CG02BD, etc.,  to create/ edit/ search the substances.

you have to double click the specification, in your case ie., substance in the transaction CG02.

by doing that, you have the fields to search/ filter the data.

and you can use the Hit list button/ F8 to search.

If you want to create/ edit,you can use the "Display <-> Edit"Button/ Ctrl+F1.

by doing that you can see the create button/ Shift + F6. Here you can create the substance....

only small add on to explanations of Kamal and Juan:

SAP EH&S standard comes with a standard list of specification types and specification categories.

Transaction CG02BD is the most general one to search/edit and create specifications. Using customizing it is possible to add further user exits in the search screen and you can to my knowledge differentiate the "search user exists" by specification category. The same is true regarding puitput variants or secondary determinartion programs; here the specification category can be a "driver" in avasilablity of user exit funtionality.

Therefore it could be "critical" to check the customizing, as sometimes you miss an user exit etc. and the reason for that is that you did not assign the correct specification category in customizing.
