When we configure the developments in the integration builder and try to save and activate the configuration, we are getting the error which

Hi Vinoth,

I have recently upgrade support pack stack upgrade PI 7.31 systems  from 00 level to 05 level in PI systems

As per the SAP note , it tells us to implement the SP for LM  configuration component alone?

Let me know should i do it for this particular component alone again as it is in  now in 05 level ?

Secondly , as per the note

Log on to http://<host>:<port>/nwa on the non-central Adapter Engine and restart application 'com.sap.aii.af.app' manuall

Let me know here non central adapter engine system means what ???

Is it particularly with PI developemnt system or production system !!!!.I have configured central SLD in  PI production system .

Thridly ,how to restart this  "com.sap.aii.af.app'component alone ???? should i need to run the CTC again or should i use exchange profile to set any parameter for this

Please provide me your valuable solutions .....

Hi  Experts ,

I have followed SAP notes 1687527 and SAP notes 764176,1117249 too.

It seems that am not having any inconsistencies in the SLD system. and there are no errors in  central SLD details.

I could see all the XI components properly too of DEV,QAS,PRE-PROD and PROD systems namely Domain,Integration directory,Integration Server,Adapter Engine and RWB too,

I have restarted the service of adapter engine  services too!!!!!But still issue is there

o com.sap.aii.af.app (Adapter Engine)

o com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app (Adapter Engine)

.

Let me know if anything is missed out from my end and let me know if any solutions can be given!!!

Just to to the runtime workbench, prefix /rwb and go to SLD registration. Here you can see if your components have successfully been registered in the correct SLD. If not, you can change them here as well.

The fact that those services haven't been started is not good. Can you try to start them manually ?

Hello Ram,

Please check below SAP NetWeaver Process Integration Troubleshooting Guide

Thanks Dijsselbloem

As said by you , i logged into  http://hostname:port/rwb  for each PI systems(namely DEV,QAS,PRE-PROD) and  in PI PRD system (PRD)

I have observed few things , in the SLD registartion tab for each PI systems(namely DEV,QAS,PRE-PROD), i could see that components are not registered properly

Secondly the SLD registartion tab for PI PROD systems , i could see that components are properly  registered  with green color and with proper ports

Let me know should i register all the components in  each SLD properly for PI DEV , PI QAS PI -PRE PROD systems .

I have attached snapshot for further references!!!!

NOTE!!!

The PI DEV , PI QAS PI -PRE PROD systems were having local SLD and now we have made centrailsed SLD once we built our )PI PRD) production system

Hi Dijsselbloem,

Can you resolve the hostname when you are logged on at operating system level? Can you check via nslookup and ping if you get the correct IP resolved?

If not, you have to ask your network administrator to add the correct entries into the DNS server, or create these entries yourself into the local hosts file of the machine.

If hostname resolution has been resolved, you can try once more to register.

Kind regards,

Hi Dijsselbloem,

Sorry , i did a small mistake by logging to rwb with my user id ,Now i have logged with J2EE_ADMIN id and haave registered the adapter engine in SLD

Now am getting different error::

Error retrieving list of registered PI components from SLD; details: com.sap.aii.rwb.exceptions.BuildLandscapeException: No System Landscape Directory registered

Below screenshot gives the details:

Let me know if you have any workaround for this

Have you checked the exchange profile if all references to your SLD are correctly maintained?

Hi Dijsselbloem,

The components  are set properly pointing to Centralised SLD hostname  in the exchange  profile on all the systems .

com.sap.aii.connect.cr.httpport

com.sap.aii.connect.cr.name

com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.httpport

com.sap.aii.connect.landscape.name

Am still facing issue in registering te other components as per the   screenshot

Can you check the following:

Go to the NetWeaver Administrator -> Java system properties -> Services -> XPI Service: All Config Service and check the value of com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.sld.name

The value should be: is.<instance no>.<hostname of SLD>

Hi Mark,

The service com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.sld.name is not running is all the PI systems .

Let me know how to add this component and it should have the central SLD hostname in all the PI systems

Added to that, the errors am getting while trying to register other components are as below::

Error during SLD registration; details: com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.registertest.SLDRegistrationException: Error while performing SLD registration of application 'Runtime Workbench'

on host '10.14XXXX'. Error: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed

Error during SLD registration; details: com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.registertest.SLDRegistrationException: Error while performing SLD registration of application 'Integration Directory'

on host '10.14X.X.XXX. Error: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed.

Error during SLD registration; details: com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.registertest.SLDRegistrationException: Error while performing SLD registration of application 'Integration  Repository' on host '10.14X.X.XX'. Error: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed.

The adapter engine component  is successfully registered in SLD registration

Please guide me on the above issue

Hi Ram,

It's not a service, it's one of the exchange profile parameters.

See http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/a9ba9c7e28674be10000000a421937/content.htm

Please check and verify if it is pointing to the correct SLD.

Hi Mark,

I have added the parameter com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.sld.name in Exchange profile  of all the systems  and restarted the services too.

i tried clearing  SLD cache too.

Still we are facing issue with  while activating communication channel in integration directory  and it gives below messages ::

Unable to check whether communication channel is compatible with selected Adapter Engine since version information for Adapter Engine is missing in the SLD,

i cleared  SLD data cache and cross checked the cache overviews too.

followed the SAP notes 764176,1031321 and checked   that the Adapter Engine & other XI components  are  registered correctly in the SLD -> Technical Systems -> type Process Integration  .All the domains and other components are fine

Further in the SLD registration , the components 'Integration Directory','Integration  Repository' & 'Runtime Workbench'  are not allowing me to register  and am getting error as

Error during SLD registration; details: com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.registertest.SLDRegistrationException: Error while performing SLD registration of application "  " on host '10.14X.X.XX'. Error: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed.

Let me know if any steps are missed out!!!!

Hi Ram,

It's very difficult to see exactly what is going wrong without having access to the system. You have checked the troubleshooting guide, some notes and other recommendations, and it's still failing....

Maybe it would be best to run the configuration wizard again to correct all settings.

Go to the NetWeaver Administrator -> Configuration -> Scenarios -> Configuration Wizard -> Select the "Functional Unit Configuration UI"

In the new screen select the SLD and Process Integration packages -> Disable and after that Enable Automatically.

During the process you should enter all correct configurations to the central SLD.

Kind regards,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I have resolved this issue

"

Unable to check whether communication channel is compatible with selected Adapter Engine since version information for Adapter Engine is missing in the SLD,"

The workaround i did is replacing the hostname with ip-address and then restarted the XPI facade

services .

Now this is resolved and i checked by activating communication channel too!!!!

Now the other XI components (RWB,ID,IR)are not getting registered in SLD  .Below is the error:

Error during SLD registration; details: com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.registertest.SLDRegistrationException: Error while performing SLD registration of application 'Runtime Workbench,Integartion ' on host '10.14XXXX Error: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The markup in the document following the root element must be well-formed.

Let me know if any workaround !!!

Hi All ,

Issue resolved by following

Note 1334053 - No automatic PI 7.10 SLD Registration

and deleting the registration components and registering them using SAP notes 764176,1031321 !!!
