Why key figures are not populated in results of query browser (in Dashboards)?

Hello Experts,

I am using Dashboard designer, my data source is bex query.

I am facing this issue, that with some of the queries that i use in query browser, the results are showing the keyfigures/measures and characteristics/dimensions both populated, whereas for others the keyfigures/measures are not getting populated, only characteristics are populated in these.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi Praveen,

Check in the preview tab of that connection, if your Key figures are appearing there. If yes then the connection hasn't got any problem. There may be some issue with the input passed of data availability in the BW.

I have checked the key figures are not appearing in the preview tab.

Meanwhile other observations that i have made are following:

1) The queries are running fine in BEx analyzer.

2) One query whose key figures are getting populated is having those key figures in the column of query design.

3) The query which is failing to bring key figures data is having its key figures in the rows of query design. (I don't think this could be a problem, but neverthless might lead to solution!)

Hi Praveen,

1) Did you define any defualt value for those key figures?

2) Try restarting the Dashboard processing server once.

Hi Praveen,

Are you getting any warning in BEx Query saying MDX don't support calculations, cannot generate MDX etc?

Go to T-code MDXTEST and Select the Query from the Cube in Metadata tab. Can you see the your Key figure under the query?

MDX Test Panel can be used to check the supported Key Figures in BO(uses MDX).
