HRMD Inbound Idoc Asynchronous

Hi,

I understand that inbound idocs are processed asynchronously so if 2 idocs reach the system at the same time they could potentially be processed at exactly the same time.

Does this also apply to the data within an idoc? For example if I have an idoc with a position segment (infotype 1000) and also a relationship segment for this position (infotype 1001) is it possible that the idoc will try and process the relationship segment at the same time (or possibly even before) the position segment.

Am I better off splitting the idoc in the sending system i.e. send one idoc for objects like positions and org units etc., and then another idoc with the relationships.

Hi Glen

If you are performing an initial distribution then best practise would be to follow steps outlined in note 363187 (an old note but good one for describing best practise for sending object types then relationships)

Hope its useful

cheers

Sally
