MBEW-VMSTP: Standard price in the previous period is not getting updated

Hello Experts,

We are facing a issue with regard to Standard price in the previous period (MBEW-VMSTP) for some of the materials that were created recently in January, 2013.

For all these materials MBEW-VMSTP is Zero.

Can you please help me to find out the issue.

Please Help.

Some Additional information:

1: I have checked that previous period is closed. (In MARV table)

2: There have been goods movement for these newly created Materials in earlier months so there is no issue with Stock movement.

3: There is no issue with Current prices. Current Price is getting updated properly after each Cost Estimate Run.

One Point to be noted:

I found that LFMON and LFGJA field of MARC is showing wrong values. These fields are showing January 2013 as the current period. My Perception is that this may be the reason why MBEW-VMSTP is not getting updated. It is because if the MARC table shows that current period is January 2013 then Previous period is obviously December 2012, which is the time when these materials were not created. IF this is the case then again I am not able to find why MARC table is showing wrong values.

First read Note 193554 - Stock/valuation data of previous periods as for over ten years some of those fields are not updated in current value tables MBEW (also MARC) Then take a look at history tables MBEWH (also MARCH) and at FM MBEW_EXTEND documentation.

(Ref: Note 415349 - Usage of modules XXXX_EXTEND for previous period values)

For curernt/previous period use table MARV (per company code)

Only if problem not yet solved, check in which Valuation Area (plant or company depending on Customizing)  were the movement executed.

Regards,

Raymond
