Data Services - RFC Extraction Error

Dear All,

Have any of you come across the error message below while extracting data from SAP?

Datastore <Datastore_name> failed to install Data Services RFC server function module <ZDS_STPO00004> due to error:

RFC_INVALID_PARAMETER- The reference is already registered. Unable to register the reference twice..

This error happened while extracting data from SAP applications datastore (table STPO).

I am not using an ABAP dataflow for this extraction.

This is a job that runs every day and has been running successfully for the past 2 months. After this error occurred, the job has run twice successfully. Seems to be like a one-off glitch but would love to know if any of you came across this scenario and if you know what the root cause could be.

Abhishek,

The return code description for this error says that An invalid parameter was passed to an API call, (e.g. invalid name, type or length).

Did you try reimporting the STPO table in SAP Application datastore and then tried executing the job.

Hi Abhishek - Did you verify the RFC status in SAP? If not, work with BASIS team and look at the status of RFC. Also, try reimporting the table again..
