Hi all,
I need a help, I am not able to align the scale of the two charts in dashboard desing, a stacked column chart and a line chart.
I have a planning scenario with a column value with realized and planned and another with a curve in the line chart with the budgeted amount,
combining a graph on top of the other. I tried to set the scale, but still is wrong. Would align the scale of the line chart with a formula in excel due to the stacked column chart?
Thanks
Hi Angelo,
In the behaviour tab of both the charts Make the scale same. I ve attached a file , change the .txt.zip format to .xlf and you ll be able to use it. PFA.
You can divide the yellow cell into 5 parts from 0 to the number mentioned in the cell j3, and place these 5 labels along the chart axis. Disable the vertical axis labels from both the charts.
Lemme know if you have doubts.
Thanks,
Sara

Hello guys,
I solved the problem by setting the scale and correcting the text font of the scales that were different in the two charts, then lined up again the charts one over other.
Sara, your tips are very good, I have other scenarios where I'll need to use them.
Thank you all

One reason they won't line up is that the y-axis labels from the bar chart and those from the line chart are of different sizes, and these sizes vary depending on your data. So if your bar chart gets very large numbers, then the axis labels will be longer and the chart will be pushed right.
If you want the charts to always line up, you need to turn the labels OFF (on both charts), and replace them with Text Label components.

Hello Angelo;
map the max & min chart limits to cell in the excel, this will be same for both charts, & align the charts one over other, i think this will solve the problem...
