Creating Initial Item Cost for a moving average item

Hi There,

I've just upgraded a customer from SAP B1 v2007 to v8.82.

In the 2007 version, they would create an item master record for a new item, set the valuation method to Moving Average and then enter the initial item cost for the item against the warehouse.

In version 8.82, the item cost field against the warehouse is greyed out so that nothing can be entered. Has this changed between versions?

I understand that the item cost will be generated based on inventory transactions etc. but they sometimes create the item before they have purchased or received any in.

Can anybody advise on this matter?
