Can anyone confirm this defect and/or provide a work-around?
Environment: PD 16.6.0.1; Windows 7 SP1; MS Word 2016
Steps to reproduce defect:
Create a new CDM.
Create an extended attribute for Entity of type "Text" with the text format set to "RTF". Call it "myRTFtext". Create an Entity. Populate both the Entity's built-in Description attribute and myRTFtext with three lines of plain text:
Line 1 is normal
Line 2 is indented differently
Line 3 is normal
For both attributes, modify the paragraph format of line 2 such that its indentation is different than lines 1 and 3 (e.g. make it a list bullet). Use the legacy report editor to create an RTF report that includes, for each entity, both the Description and myRTFtext (in a "Text paragraph" item). Open the RTF document in MS Word. The Description renders correctly. For myRTFtext, Line 3 (and any subsequent paragraphs) will inherit paragraph formatting from Line 2 rather than retaining its own format.
Hi Phillip,
Thank you for confirming the issue.
The new report editor fixes the issue with rendering RTF extended attributes, but has introduced a new set of problems. The RTF template that I use (developed using PD 15) has a particular set of styles defined. PD's new report editor makes a mess of these styles. For example, the attached screenshot shows RTF output of two reports using the same elements and RTF template. The output on the left (legacy) is aligned with what is defined in the RTF template, but the output on the right is not:
Additionally (not pictured) some custom styles defined in the RTF template (used for boilerplate content) are completely eliminated in the new report output.

OK I reproduce the issue in 16.6.2
The issue only exists in legacy report editor. Can you upgrade to new style?

Just try 16.6 SP02. I don't see the issue.
Can you try it?
If it still doesn't work for you, please upload a screenshot.
