incorrect number in payslip for partial period

hi Experts,

I need help in solving a payroll issue .

The issue is the payslip is showing incorrect number for a wage type in Payslip.

This problem is only for a particular month where the bonus is issued and there is a split in the info type record for IT14 .

while checking the input/processing and the output of the payroll log i found a custom rule ZAJ1 which is processing the IT14 wage types, where one of the wage type(housing allowance ) has $ for processing class 47.()after this rule the o/p table IT has 2 entries for the wage type.

For this condition the rule has the below steps:

OPIND

ELIMI A

WPBPCS

if i remove the ELIMI A the value for number for the  wage type is displayed correctly but now the amount of Housing allowance   is displayed wrong.

how do i check these and what is the best approach.?

Thanks

Shpr

Hi

Is the WT maintained in IT 0014 marked for proration. If not then remove the Prcl Cls 47, maintain the Prcl Cls 10 as '0' and re check.

I believe there must be some WPBP splits thats causing the WT in IT 0014 to split.

Operation WPBPCS is used to split a WT based on the partial periods.

hi jayakrishna,

i haven't worked much in payroll so am asking some basic questions.

How do i check if that wage type in it 14 is in marked for proration or not?

i tried removing the processing class 47 and adding 10 as u suggested .Here again the number displayed is correct but  now the amount for housing allowance is blank.

how to check this?

thanks

Hi

Maintain the processing class 10 specification as '0' meaning its not marked for proration. The Prcl Class 10 value determines if a WT is part of proration or not. If there is a value other than 0 then that means its applicable for proration.

So the Housing Allowance WT is maintained in IT 0014. Both NUM and AMT are maintained for this WT?

1st thing that u need to check is the value of the WT Housing Allowance before and after proration in the schema.Check the Input Table and the Output Table after proration. If the value is correct then finally check the RT once and see if both NUM and AMT are correct for this WT.

If there is NUM and AMT in the RT for this WT then there must be an issue with the payslip display
