SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio web viewer not displaying alerts

We've created some reports that have alerts based on parameters (e.g. DateTo must be < 1 year after DateOne). They work fine in the designer, but when viewing the reports on the web the alerts do not appear.

Is there a configuration setting I need to use to get the alerts to work in the web viewer?
