Project System - Revaluation at Actual Prices

Hi Gurus,

I have a doubt about revaluation of actual price (KSII transaction), we have the scenario bellow:

We have the standard price for the sender cost center and then, we created a project (SAP-PS) and this project consumed 100 hours from this cost center and the first moment the this consumption was based on standard price (tariff).

In the end of period we would like to define the actual price calculation (KSII), however the variances between actual and standard price must have remain in the sender cost center and not transfer to the receiver (project or cost center).

We realized that the system has two different behaviors:

  1. 1.       If the project (wbs element) was settled to the receivers cost centers, the variances calculated between actual and standard price to the sender cost center was transferred to receiver cost center.

  1. 2.       If the project (wbs element) wasn´t settled, the variances calculated between actual and standard price to the sender cost center remained to receiver cost center.

In both situations I would like that the behavior of the system was the second (the variances remaining in the sender cost center).

Someone know, if it is possible?

How can I do it?

PS: Unfortunately we can´t to change the sequence of the transactions (KSII and CJ88)

Kind Regards

Hi Lima,

What ever the procedure , the complete cost to be settled to the Receive cost object WBS/ Cost Center ( including Variance Cost also to get complete cost occurred for the object .

  1. 1.       If the project (wbs element) was settled to the receivers cost centers, the variances calculated between actual and standard price to the sender cost center was transferred to receiver cost center.   In this scenario the receiver cost center itself holding the variance cost also , So we had to consolidate the total cost by including the Variance Cost.

  1. 2.       If the project (wbs element) wasn´t settled, the variances calculated between actual and standard price to the sender cost center remained to receiver cost center. In this scenario we had to settle the variance cost also to the receiver object WBS to get the accurate and complete cost of the object.

Hi vrkumar,

Thanks for your answer,

I unterstood what you said, do you know if I can use the first scenario without transfer the variance to receiver cost center?

Yes, As per your  first scenario where Project / WBS was settled to the Receiver Cost Centre where Variance Cost was also holding it .So there is no need to transfer any variance cost , Since it already holding it. As per the standard costing procedure  we can able to capture complete cost including variance cost.

I hope this might be helpful .

Hi vrkumar,

Thanks again,

If I understood better is possible to define actual price for cost center sender without transfer the variances to receiver cost centers using the first scenario where Project / WBS was settled to the receivers cost centers. My questions is how can I do it? Becouse when I execute the KSII transaction the variances are transfer automatically.

I have to define new customizing?
