RDS for IdM 7.2

Hi,

I wanted to know what SP level will the RDS Solution be based on. Will it be always the latest SP level at the time of deployment ?

Hi Murali,

              currently it is only tested on IDM 7.2 SP4 Patch 1 at present.

Thanks for the response Chris. We are looking at RDS deployment sometime mid of May - the same time when SP8 will be released. I have a strong feeling that we will be missing out on all the enhancements between SP5-SP8. Is that true ?

In particular, with regard to GRC Integration - We need to have the feature where we can have approvals in IdM as well as GRC-AC approvals. Currently as of SP7, the Enhanced Approval Mechanism cannot be used when GRC Framework is in place. This functionality will be shipped as part of SP8.

Hi Murali,

              you can import the latest SP after deployment but you would then need to treat the RDS as normal customizing in this regards when apply the SP (ie not overwriting the framework etc) and

normal testing before release to production. The other option is to start on the higher SP and import the RDS customizing and test before release.
