SAP SRM without PI

Dear gurus,

I would like to ask you when SAP SRM can run without SAP PI (which version of SAP SRM/SAP ECC and scenarios?). I have been looking for some documents but I got lost. Your help would be very appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Gio

Hi

SAP SRM without PI is very well possible for scenarios Classic, Extended classic & combined.

In case if you want to bring external requiremnts to SRM (PDP scenario),

if your ECC EHP version is 3 and below you don't need PI,

where as if you are on ECC EHP4 and above SRM 7.0, and you have activated the business function LOG_MM_P2PSE_1, then you need PI between ECC to SRM

If you are running on ECC EHP5 and SRM 7.01, then you also have an option of bringing external requirements via web services (ESOA).

In case if you want to implement SUS then PI is mandatory for any version of SRM & ECC.

Also, if you are choosing MDM for catalogs / any other master data management and you want to transfer the data from SRM to MDM / ECC to MDM then PI is mandatory.

Coming to documentation part, there is no single document which give you entire information. You need to go throuhg the Release notes, SRM configuration guies available in service market place.

Also, when you read the documentation for various Business functions delivered in EHP1 & EHP2 of SRM via SFW5, you can find documentation for each business functiona with sample test scripts.

Hope above info will hlep you to some extent.
